Today we meet Tanners new doctor. His last doctor retired. We were pretty sad because we liked her a lot but the new guy is really nice and treated Tanner well. He is actually the one who preformed the biopsy on Tanner so we kind of new of him.
There are a couple different "types" of Alpha 1 and we found out that he is ZZ which is the more common and the worst of the different types.
He reminded us that he might have Varices. Which we already knew . It's where his blood vessels get backed up in his esophagus and they swell so we have to make sure they do not bleed. Which would result in a medical emergency.
We were shocked to hear that he is at risk of getting liver cancer in the future. The chances of him getting it as a child is slim so hopefully he won't be one of the few.
We found that the chances of us having a child with OUT Alpha 1 is only 25%. So, we don't know if we should have another baby or not.
So, that's the news about Tanner. Although it sounds frighting we keep our heads held high and pray to God that he lives a normal long life. Which I know he will!
Tomorrow I am going to IKEA with my friend Andrea. I am getting some of Tanner's Christmas presents. Then Thursday the house is OURS! We will be painting Thursday and Friday if we need to. I have to finish up on packing then we are moving on out of here on Saturday!
We miss and love every one! Can't wait for the Holidays!
