The Littlest Heroes Project

I've been accepted as a photographer for The Littlest Heroes Project! I am very excited! Tanner is also a Little Hero an we are have our session done next month! Family pictures coming soon :)

The Littlest Heroes Project is a non-profit based organization founded in January 2008 by Felicia Reinhard, made up of professional photographers nationwide that provide free photo sessions to our nations Littlest Heroes. Through the power of photography we are giving back and taking a stand for these children who sometimes feel forgotten because of their illnesses. We are here to let them know that they are heroes to many, and to share their inspirational stories and photos with the world. If you have a child, or know a child, who suffers from any type of serious illness or life altering disability we are here to help. The Littlest Heroes Project provides you with a complimentary photo shoot for your hero and family. I'm Haley. I'm a wife, mother, and photographer. I have a loving family and wonderful friends. I have a little boy who lights up my world & I am very lucky to have an amazing husband who will do anything to make me happy. I live in San Antonio, Texas. Photography is my passion! I eat sleep and breath photography. My camera & Mac are my most important possessions. I've read the Twilight Saga 3 times. I have a strong opinion of movies and music. I've been told I am stubborn and spoiled. I am learning to walk in heals. I am obsessed with shopping for my son. I don't cook or clean. I have a border collie named Dexter. I want to adopt. I am 21.

My son Tanner was diagnosed with Alpha 1 a little over a year ago. When he was 9 months we went in for his well baby and the doctor noticed his liver was enlarged and centered. He was in the hospital for about a week, he had several needles stuck and poked into him, and a handful of CT scans. Right before his 1st birthday he was diagnosed with Alpha 1, which they figured out through blood work. After that we scheduled a biopsy of his liver to confirm. He defiantly try to get out of getting the biopsy by getting sick over and over again! After rescheduling 3 times he finally had it done and the biopsy confirmed he has Alpha 1. It was hard to see my child go through this but I'd say Taylor and I did a pretty good job at staying strong. As far as dealing with Alpha 1 he goes in for blood work every 6 months and so far so good!
