We are completely done with diapers!! Tanner is sleeping through the night with little to no accidents. It blows my mind how big he is getting. We signed him up for Pre-School and we are just praying he gets a spot in the class!

We didn't get orders to Alaska but we are still trying. Taylor says they need a rank higher than he is which he is testing for soon and they will take a rank lower. So who knows. New over seas listings came out and hawaii is on the list. I am beyond exhausted with this whole thing, I just want to get out of San Antonio Texas.

A while ago I signed Tanner up to be apart of the Littlest Heroes Project (a non-profit org made up of professional photographer that provide free photo session to family with children who suffers from any type of serious illness or life altering disability)  and just last weekend we had our photo session with a photographer in Austin. We should have the pictures back soon so I will share them ASAP!

Like I mentioned in my previous post I am now a photographer for The Littlest Heroes Project! I am very happy to be apart of this organization and can't wait to meet with my first hero!

Still trying to figure out when we are going to make it home for a visit. Taylor is being extraordinarily difficult with the time and dates. So who knows if we will even make it this summer.

Speaking of Taylor his birthday is approaching and he is turning 22! We missed each others 21st since he was in Kuwait last summer so I'm excited to celebrate with him this year!

A few weeks ago Becky and I took the kids to paint pottery. They painted for about 2 minutes. So Becky and I rushed to finish ours!
I painted a bowl which I am in love with :)
Tanner painted a Windmill which he refers to as a "CooCoo Clock/Air Plane"

For Easter Taylor got me the piano I had been wanting!
I've been practicing Fur Elise and have got about 20 seconds of the song down :)

and Tay's guitar that I "gave" him for Easter ; )

Another Bench Monday picture.
I am soo spoiled. I told Taylor that I wish I had these boots for my bench monday picture. Well the next day he came home with them in hand. They were the wrong size but he drove me all around until we found the right size. He is such an amazing husband and treats me better than I deserve.
I guess I can keep the tittle as "Spoiled Brat."

So these are Tanner's TINY converses. They are a size 2! He wore them when he was just a year old!

Can you guess what size he is in now at 3!?! A size 9/10!!

After our session in Austin we stopped by Steak and Shake to get some milkshakes! The whole time we promised Tanner candy for every smile. Well he got some candy and a strawberry/banana milkshake!

Last week we took a trip to the Zoo! It was so nice to be out soaking up the sun. Tanner really enjoyed himself and we ended with a stop at the water area to cool off.

A while ago I got these small herb pots and they are growing nicely. I think they are at the point where the need to be in a larger pot. Which is what I might use my pot for :)

Wisdom Teeth Yikes! They are laying SIDEWAYS!

We are teaching Syd early!

Dexter still doing his thang!

And I'm ending with a cute little video. Pause the music at the bottom and enjoy :)

there is a tent in my living room and a crayon drawing on my wall

Syd Vicious

This is Sydney, our Australian Shepherd. We found that when we were not at the park throwing the frisbee or taking a ride in the car Dexter was pretty bored. So we got him a friend. So far they love each other. I think Dexter gets annoyed at times but enjoys the cuddles. Sydney loves playing and has a huge appetite. Much larger than Dexter's. He can sit and somewhat stay. He's already interested in frisbees and has super sharp teeth. I forgot all about puppy teeth after Brutus grew out of that phase so now it's back again. Fun.
You can't deny that he isn't ridiculously cute.

Since getting Sydney..I realized how much I love Dexter. I swear Dexter is THE PERFECT dog. He listens so well and great to cuddle with. He's my baby.

Easter Weekend
We spent the weekend eating chocolate bunnies and gum eggs. Hopping hopscotch and making monster eggs. Tanner got a couple of books, candy, army guys, and some chalk. All in all it was a pretty fun and relaxing weekend.

I have been talking about learning to play piano since christmas. I wanted a Keyboard so I could possible start teaching myself or get a teacher. Well as an Easter present Taylor saved some secret money and surprised me with a Keyboard! In return he also bought himself a guitar. I've learned the beginning on Fur Elise and he has learn some of Big Girls Don't Cry. Haha

A while ago Taylor and I became adults. We now have a big person bed instead of using a mattress of the floor. Along with our new bed we had to have new bedding. I am very happy with the outcome. I love how airy it is in our room now. It just feels great.

Shortly after we found out Taylor was deploying my friend Becky's husband got the word that he was deploying as well. After the guys let Becky and I meshed together nicely. She leaned on me and I her. We spent most days off doing something with the kids. Shortly after she sold her house she moved back home to stay with family. Well now she is back and I am a very happy girl!

Tanner Tanner Tanner
My son is a big kid now. I can hardly even call him my baby anymore because he's not.
He goes to school, he wears undies, he takes swimming lessons. He is just big. A big kid.
Sad.
Last night was the first night sleeping in undies. No accidents. I guess we are done with diapers?

He started swimming lessons this week. It's driving me nuts. I can't handle him not just diving in. Every summer swimming is his thing. I'm the one with the kid who loves the pool. He swims on his own and just owns it. At swimming lessons he's the kid who won't let go of the teacher. The only logical thing is that I wasn't the one to be in the pool with him first. So I need to get him to the pool asap and show him he can swim so he can show up the kids at swim lessons! I hold pretty high standards for swimming.

Bench Monday
Bench Monday is a hit. I've had four different bench monday pictures features on four different blogs. I enjoy bench monday. It is my favorite part of the week!

Trolls!!!

Gosh I've missed Trolls. So I got Tanner some from Ebay. When I was little my mom made hair bows with tiny little trolls on them. I wonder if I can find some of those on ebay?

Taylor has the opportunity to get a (AF) job doing the same thing but for special forces in North Carolina. I think this would be the best thing right now for us. So I hope he gets it.

a very proud momma!

Being a mom. Wow. It's just amazing.

My son pooped on the potty 3 times this week. 3 times! This is HUGE! We are finally going in the right direction. And to hear him say "What a big boy!" in a broken voice from crying just makes my heart swell. Before the big moment he just cannot stand it. It's so uncomfortable for him to just go. Once he does his face lights up and he is just as proud of himself as we are him. We jump up and dance! We sing, we chant "what a big boy", and we tell him just how proud we are of him! Soon this will feel like a natural thing and when that day comes we will celebrate! With a party :)

Anyways! Pictures :)

Tanner has been watching this baseball movie (from poppy and mammy) and apparently he learn how to play baseball? Who knew? lol

Man! What a save! Photoshop can be pretty amazing at times!

He thought it was hilarious to put the wrong size block on top!
He would do it and then say "No, that's not right!"
